Keith and Laura discuss stuck feeling surrounding projects. When there are all the excuses in the world as to “why I’m not making progress,” how do you get started, keep momentum going, silence the voices of criticism?
Laura wants to move forward with her project. And at the same time, there is a voice saying, “Sit down, not so fast. I’m too busy. I don’t have time. I got plenty going on.” How do you know, now is the time to make a ruckus? Or, how do you know, now is the time to wait and prepare for the ruckus to be made?
When there’s a voice inside that says small, small progress isn’t enough, that that’s not a ruckus–that it isn’t big enough to make the change. That’s the time to start.
It’s time to stop saying I’m going to do the things, and start to do them. Making room in the schedule to do these things. Push outside of comfort zones to do more than what’s currently happening.
It may not be easy. But, if you’re going to do what you are seeking to do, creating the change that you are looking to make, that’s pretty magical. So, why wouldn’t it be hard?
Let’s silence the self-generated or external voices of criticism and “Go Make a Ruckus.”
